The Moreton Bay North Training Alliance (MBNTA) was established to provide senior students across the Moreton Bay North region with direct pathways into high-demand industries through quality vocational training. The alliance is led by Caboolture State High School and operates across multiple partner schools: Burpengary State Secondary College, Morayfield State High School, Tullawong State High School and Lee Street State Special School.
The alliance operates from purpose-built training facilities across the 5 school sites, including specialist hubs in:
- automotive
- aircraft line maintenance
- education support
- electrotechnology
- horticulture
- laboratory skills
- plumbing
- rural operations.
These facilities provide students with industry-standard equipment and authentic learning environments that reflect modern workplaces.
Since its inception, the alliance has continued to grow, supporting young people from across the Moreton Bay and northern Brisbane regions. Students attend their training centre 1 day per week to complete their chosen qualification, while continuing their senior schooling program at their base school. A major advantage of the MBNTA program is the requirement for students to complete 80 hours of structured workplace training, ensuring meaningful exposure to real industry environments.
Each student’s training contributes towards the attainment of the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE), ensuring their vocational pathway aligns with personal goals and local workforce needs. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training that equips students with real skills, confidence and a strong foundation for future success. Graduates of the alliance are recognised by employers for being job-ready, capable and career-focused, reflecting the strong reputation MBNTA is building across the community.
